Following God

“We deceive ourselves when we think that God is the God of our comfort rather than the God who created everything.“
Obedience to God is greater than our comfort and convenience to this life. I have noticed that I personally lose track of this truth when I begin to lose reverence of who God is. Without a reverence of who God is, which is revealed through His Word, we will limit Him in our lives by settling when He has called us to sojourn.
“When we limit God to our natural limitations we drop out of the supernatural experience.”
Jesus’ entire existence on this side of eternity was moving towards a point in His life that would shape the way people get to experience life, here and now. It was radical and glorious. He was completely led by the Spirit of God. He said what God was saying and did what He was doing. The Spirit of God connected the two. The same is for those who call themselves believers today. It’s time to actually believe what Jesus said. Not just the comfortable or humanitarian type stuff but also the supernatural stuff that He lived His “humanly” life modeling for us.
He did not die for us to be comfortable and complacent. He died(and was raised) for us to be connected to God the Father through the Holy Spirit. To be a people that would make this world look more like heaven. Not necessarily in the sense that everybody believes the same thing but in the sense that everyone lives their life for maximum impact.
Not everybody will believe the same thing as you but there are people in this world that might have radical different beliefs than you but still have the same mission.
God will often times bypass our religious preference in order to bless humanity. He doesn’t do it based on beliefs, He blesses humanity based on who He is, love.
